Education Weekend - Bermondsey

The Education Group and Working Party met at Bermondsey on 6th and 7th July to work on the future plans for Education and our schools. The group has been meeting regularly over recent years and has assisted in updating maintenance plans and governance of the schools in the ownership of the Institute, where sisters have worked formerly.

For the past four years an Education Day has been held to which Heads of our schools, Governors and Pastoral Assistants have been invited. Many of our schools who have experienced these days have requested information on Mercy Values and Ethos and would like help in continuing input on these values in our schools. The Education group has developed a plan to carry out such days in schools when invited to do so. The next Education Day will be held in Bermondsey on Friday, 19th October, 2012. In this year of Evangelisation we are proud to hold another day and the theme will be "Spirituality and Leadership".
