Bonnets for “Bags of Courage” at Philipots Almshouses

Philipots Almshouses in Eltham held an Easter Bonnet Parade on the morning of Thursday 12th April; creative headgear was much in evidence.

As well as providing a showcase for the residents millinery talents, the event also helped raise funds for “Bags of Courage”, the social enterprise arm of Women@thewell.

A stall selling bags created by Sr. Teresa Thompson of Whitby community and fancy goods donated by parishioners of Christchurch parish, Eltham, proved popular.

Between the stall, raffle proceeds and donations from Philipots residents, a total of £234 was raised.
