Greetings to all Sisters, Associates, families and friends on this our very special feast day!
We have had a wonderful summer of celebrations and our prayers for a safe, successful hosting of the Olympic and Paralympics Games have been answered a hundredfold.
Life, perhaps, for many has become a little flat after all the excitement. We however are uplifted at this time by celebrating the greatest feast in our Mercy Calendar
. We are so privileged to have Mary as our special patron and advocate and to have that title ‘Sisters of Mercy’.
Mary stood at the feet of Jesus as he hung on the cross, participating as fully as any human person could, in that supreme act of divine mercy. It is pleasing to imagine Mary now in heaven, radiantly happy, conversing with the glorified Jesus. What would they be talking about I wonder?
