Fundraising Fun at the Haven for Women@the Well

A beautiful sunny morning on 24th May saw a wonderful gathering of people in the Haven, Eltham for a coffee morning to raise funds for women at the well.

Full use was made of the garden space as friends, parishioners and sisters sat in the sunshine enjoying the delights of Sr. Susan’s baking skills in the form of lemon drizzle cakes, chocolate muffins and Victoria sponges. Guests and visitors helped in the effort; Sr. Savio helped to set up the haven and garden for the anticipated visitors, Sr. Jean ran the fancy goods stall and Sr. Chris’s aunt Patricia, her cousin Emma with daughters, Ellie and Olivia, also gave their time, Ellie being the star turn calling out the winning numbers for tombola and raffle.

All commented on the lovely surroundings and how much they enjoyed the coffee, good company and the craic. With donations and proceeds from the morning a total of £600 was raised for women@the well.
