Christmas Reflections

 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. ... The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.  He was in the world, and though the worldwas made
 through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. ... The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father
, full of grace and truth.

God is love and anyone Who lives in love lives in God and God in him.

.1 Jn.4:16

“ Someday,
after we have mastered
the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity,
we shall harness for God
the energies of love.
Then, for the second time in the history of the world,
humankind will have discovered fire."

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

                                                      When the song of the angels is stilled.
                                                      When the star in the sky is gone.
                                                      When the kings and princes are home.
                                                      When the shepherds are back with their flocks.
                                                      The work of Christmas begins;

                                                       to find the lost;
                                                       to heal the broken;
                                                       to feed the hungry;
                                                       to release the prisoner;
                                                       to rebuild the nations;
                                                       to bring peace among people;
                                                       to make music in the heart
.
