Vocation To Mercy

Seeking a life in Community?

... a life of Service?

... a life of Prayer?

Could God be calling you to serve Him as a Sister of Mercy?

Community - Sisters live in community

"We are called to live as a joyful Gospel community, showing the world through our lives the mercy and love of Christ - 'this is the Spirit of the Order indeed, the true spirit of Mercy flowing on us!'"

Catherine McAuley - Constitutions

Service - The Congregation, formed in 1831, to execute the Works of Mercy, is just as relevant today as Sisters continue to respond to current needs.

"We ought then to have great confidence in God in the discharge of all these offices of mercy, spiritual and corporal - which constitute the business of our lives."

Catherine McAuley

"What a consolation to serve Jesus Christ Himself in the person of the poor, and to walk the very same path He trod!"

Catherine McAuley

Prayer - Mercy apostolic life is rooted in prayer.

Time is given each day to personal and communal prayer, including the reciatal of certain hours of the Divine Office.

"Our centre is God from whom all our actions should spring as from the source."

"Their whole life should be a continual act of praise and prayer."

Catherine McAuley
